Angle Seat Valves

An angle seat valve is a piston-actuated control valve with a 45-degree angled valve seat that allows a near straight-through flow path, resulting in high flow capacity and minimal pressure drop compared to standard globe valves. The pneumatic piston actuator opens or closes the valve by applying compressed air, making it suitable for automated process control. In a Normally Closed (NC) angle seat valve, the valve remains closed when no air signal is applied to the actuator and opens only when compressed air is supplied. In a Normally Open (NO) configuration, the valve stays open in its rest state and closes when air pressure is applied. NC valves are preferred for safety-critical applications where flow must stop on air failure, while NO valves are used where continuous flow must be maintained during power or air loss.
